Hi, i am out looking for a good wake boat, and i have narrowed it down to these two boats. I was wondering which one will give me a better surfing wake, and wakeboarding wake, and also which one is just a all around more reliable boat.
Here is the links to the two boats.

If u could please take a look at these and answer some of my questions that would be great. Thank-you

I prefer most malibus but in this instance Id have to go with the mastercraft. the wake is great & the power is great on both

malibu pros - interior is more plush. tower looks better

cons- illusion x tower is shorter than standard for competitive wakeboarding. the power wedge is great, but set it at 8 and you can hear the gas leave your boat.... IMHO 2008 was not a good year for malibu.

mastercraft. pros - tower regulation height (7" taller than the illusion x, i think). pickle fork gives more roomy bow.

cons - upholstery is "hard" . i dont like snap in carpet. bolster seat very uncomfortable in the up position. too high.

in summary go with the mastercraft

mastercraft was the "prefered boat " on the wakeboard circuit yet as of the 2007 shootout between mastercraft and malibu ,malibu won hands down. for sure the flexibility wedge that malibu has enables greater customization of the wake to each and each riders thoughts, to no longer point out the candy velocity administration with 10 pre-contraptions to customise even greater suitable.
